Weird Beet

 

Lousy photo, but this beet was bifurcated, and equally on both side, so it looked strangely human - lower body. But we ate it anyhow....

Gardening Course

I'll be teaching an 8 week Vegetable gardening course in Mullingar, starting in January. Flyers went out to the parents and teachers at METNS toady - no one beating down the door yet, but I'm hopeful that I will have some interest. I'm really looking forward to talking about gardening for 2 hours once a week, especiall in Jan and Feb, when there's not much else you can do ....
